Leczenie

Wszystkie te marki mają niemal identyczny proces leczenia.

Jednak wraz z wiekiem produkcja HA (a zatem kolagenu i elastyny) spada.

Raz
związany, HA przywraca cząsteczki wody z powrotem do skóry, gdzie natychmiast ją przywraca poprzez nawilżenie. Proces ten stymuluje także produkcję nowego kolagenu i elastyny.

Collagen InductionTherapy

Collagen Induction Therapy is a revolutionary aesthetic medical skin rejuvenation treatment that employs very tiny, small sterile needles that perforate the outer layers of the skin. This is done with a specialized device called a micro needling device and a medical grade derma pen. The primary function of this treatment is to cause tiny, microscopic breaks in the skin (Epidermis). This method is scientifically PROVEN as an all-natural, long lasting, collagen and elastin reformation technique. Tethered collagen strands that are causing the wrinkle to be indented are broken in this process and therefore forced to regrown in a smoother and uniform pattern. In addition to the tiny breaks in the skin surface, Medical Grade Serums are infused into the epidermis at the ideal level for maximum absorption that is no other procedure is capable of.

What can I expect after my Collagen Induction Therapy Treatment? (Facial and/or Neck)

The treated areas will have the appearance of a slight “tired” look as a result of light swelling and puffiness that lasts (1-3 days) and skin may feel extremely tight. You may resume normal activities following procedure.

  • Day 1 to 2 (normally 24 hours): Erythema and mild swelling subsides, and a mild sun burnt feeling and appearance goes away. A mild sporadic pinpointed itching sensation (healing from within) throughout treated area usually subsides by day (3).
  • Day 2 to 7: Increased mild exfoliation and dryness that can be countered with Hyaluronic acid and Matrixyl 3000 hydration serum.
  • 1st week: Improvement in pores, texture and tone
  • 3rd week: Improvement in pigmentation
  • 6 weeks: Improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, scars
  • Results will begin to become visible within weeks following treatment; however, skin will continue to improve for several years. However, no guarantee is expressed or implied as to the precise results, peeling times or discomfort. Skin rejuvenation can take up to 9-12 months to obtain substantial results.

How Long Does it Last?

New collagen produced lasts for a long time (5-10) years unless the skin is further damaged by sun exposure, smoking, pollution, stress, aging and lack of a good skin care regimen along with many other external factors. A maintenance treatment should be considered based on these circumstances as little as (1) time per year and as often as every (3) months depending on these factors.

Collagen InductionTherapy

Skin Needling remolds the skin by creating thousands of microscopic channels through the skin, increasing the formation of new tissue by activating the body’s wound healing cascade (hemostasis-inflammation-proliferation-tissue remodeling). The micro-channeling causes the release of growth factors that promote scar-less healing and the deposition of normal woven collagen rather than scar collagen. The fibroblasts are responsible for collagen production. The exact mechanism how this happens is complex and not yet completely understood.  It is known that new collagen and elastin forms during and long after the procedure.  In one study, twenty blinded biopsies taken from 10 different patients from various parts of their body demonstrated an average increase in new fibers of 206%; in one biopsy a 1000% increase was recorded.

This system of skin needling was first described during the 50s by the founder of mesotherapy, Dr Michel Pistor, who didn’t employ the method himself but came up with the concept that pricking skin would promote collagen formation.

Skin needling is a treatment for lip lines, lines on lower eyelids and pigmentation marks, lightening, and in some cases, even removing traces of scars from superficial to deep cuts, severe acne scars, stretch marks and chicken pox.

There aren’t many ways to rejuvenate the skin. Perhaps the best method is to cause mild skin injury. The body will immediately start repairing that injury by replacing the injured skin with new skin. That is the main principle of Micro Needling (“Skin Needling”). Injuring the skin forces the body to renew it. The injury must be just serious enough to trigger the healing processes, but not serious enough to permanently damage the skin. Micro Needling is the ideal mechanism for that.

The same principle is behind most laser rejuvenation treatments, acid peels and other invasive skin rejuvenating methods. The laser either evaporates the top layer(s) of the skin entirely or it evaporates only fractions of the skin (“Fraxel laser”).

A needling creates micro injuries (tiny vertical channels in the dermis) mechanically, while fractional laser treatment makes them thermally. But the principle is the same. The resulting collagen production will slowly progress even months after the treatment.

When you sting yourself with a needle, you mechanically damage some skin cells. Those cells are too damaged to function properly, and our body will immediately start removing those cells. These cells are then being replaced by new cells.

So based on this principle, Skin Needling speeds up the turnover of the skin and thus speeds up the diminishing of pigmentations, post-acne spots, age spots etc.

How Skin Needling and needling in general works on stretch marks and scars:

Scar tissue, whether raised, flat or indented, is usually abundant in collagen but the scar collagen is thick and typically woven in a different pattern than in the normal skin.

Scar tissue isn’t too different from normal skin, it’s only the thickness and patterns of the fibers that differ.

Crushing the scar tissue will crush the scar pattern of the fibers and the body will often remodel the scar into a smoother, better looking, and softer scar.

Our body does not expend effort on fixing things does not consider “broken”. Scar tissue is just a cosmetic problem, it is not perceived as an issue worthy of fixing further by the body. Derma needling is a strategy to force the body to remodel the scar. The trick is that making tiny pricks is not sufficient damage to cause a scar, but it is enough for the body to consider needled skin as “broken”. Derma needling triggers healing processes. Unfortunately, our body usually does not bother replacing the scar tissue completely with normal skin – especially when the scar is deep – but it often replaces it with a mixture of scar- and normal tissue, producing a better-looking scar.

So, Skin Needling triggers healing processes and the body tends to heal the area in a way – at least partially – as normal skin should look like. Indented scars fill in and raised scars flatten. It does not work in all cases, but in most people it does work.

Acne scars don’t contain much scar tissue, but they are atrophied (missing tissue). The scar will slowly or partially fill in with collagen triggered by a derma pen or single needle. Wrinkles will also partially fill in.

In addition, needling a hypo pigmented scar will facilitate the migration of melanocytes (skin-pigment producing cells) from the surrounding skin into the scar and improve its color.

The advantages of Skin Needling over other methods:

Skin Needling does not remove any skin layers. It only makes pricks into the skin. That is why the skin heals rapidly from Skin Needling compared to methods that remove skin layers. Skin Needling is for that reason also much less prone to infection or healing complication, and it has a very short downtime.

Skin Needling can go very deep into the skin, up to 3.0 mm. If you went that deep with ablative methods (acid peels, ablative lasers) you could easily end up with scars or serious skin damage, because a laser physically removes part of the skin by evaporating it, and a needle only pricks the skin without creating a real “empty” hole where skin tissue has been removed.

Lasers or IPL use heat and heating up the skin is prone to collateral damage such as burns, hyper- or hypopigmentation and even scars.

Skin Needling is less expensive than other rejuvenating/remodeling methods.

Skin Needling thickens the skin and can be used anywhere on the body, including the areas with thin skin such as the neck or the top of the hand.

Warnings:

Those with a prior history of herpes/cold sore breakouts and fever blisters are advised to pre-treat with an antiviral medication such as Zovirax, Acyclovir, Famvir or Valtrex to avoid the possibility of an outbreak. These medications can only be prescribed by your physician. Antiviral pre-treating medication to avoid a breakout should take place a minimum of (2) days, the day before and the day of your procedure. If you do not choose to pre-treat with medication, you may be asked to sign a waiver acknowledging you understand there is a risk of a breakout when needling is done near the lip area.
